Apple to buy Beats Electronics

News has been circulating that Apple is buying Beats Electronics (aka Beats Audio, aka Beats Music) for a reported $3.2 Billion US dollars. Beats is a headphones manufacturer and, if you didn't know, it's a brand that HP (Hewlett-Packard) has been using for some it's line of laptops & tablets:

Seeing these labels, as far as laptops are concerned, seems more or less of a gimmick since what powers them is the sound card hardware. And the sound card hardware is generally manufactured by companies such as Realtek.

But obviously now, there would be a conflict between Apple vs HP's PCs. I highly doubt that Apple would allow a PC manufacturer to use the "Beats" label to market its line of laptops. And what Apple wants to do with the "Beats" label remains to be seen, it's only speculations right now.
